The Warner district offers grades PK-12.  It is comprised of 1 Elementary School and 1 High School.  The district covers 83 square miles, with 8.57 students per square mile.

Secondary Program

Academic :

Warner High School requires 26 credits for graduation.

Fifty-four courses are offered.  These include three (3) Advanced Placement courses.

Special courses are also offered for Humanities, Wood Shop, Ag Science, Natural Resources, Ag Tech I and II, Family of Consumer Sciences, Leadership, Computer Science, and Consumer Education.  We have 24 students involved in concurrent enrollment with Connors.  A cooperative agreement with Indian Capital Area Career Technology Center is accessible for juniors and seniors.

Grades 7-8 offer traditional courses plus band, pre-algebra, a character education program, and a rotation class that includes study skills for traditional classes, wood shop, reading, and special projects for all students.

An in-house Alternative Education Program is offered for student (Grades 9-12) who are designated “At Risk” and in need of special assistance.  Thirty-one students that attended Alternative Education during the past three years have graduated.

Extra-Curricular

Athletics

High School: Football, basketball, track, fast-pitch and slow-pitch softball, cheerleading and baseball.

Middle School:  Football, basketball, track, fast-pitch and slow-pitch softball, cheerleading and baseball.

Fine Arts

Band (Grades 4-12), vocal Music, speech contests, and art contests.

Other Activities

More than twenty clubs and organizations are available for participation by both the high school and middle school.  (Ex: NHS, Student Council, FCCLA, SADD, FFA, 4-H, APT, etc)

Elementary Program

Literacy First, Literacy Coach to diagnose and develop curriculum for individual students and classrooms, Accelerated Reading Program, STAR Reading and Math Programs, Literacy Library in Media Center as well as each individual classrooms, Great Expectations Program, Character Building Programs, Music, Band and PE, Science Lab (Grade 4-6), Computer Lab (Grade PK-6), TAR Wars Tobacco Prevention (Grade 5-6), Library Research Projects, Spelling Bee, Academic Team, 4-H, and before and after school learning programs open daily to all students.
